Ms. Erica Burnett

Hello! 

My name is Mrs. Burnett, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your child's teacher this year. With 17 years of teaching experience, I am deeply committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for every student.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, which provided me with a solid foundation in education. Building upon that, I pursued a master's degree in Exceptional Student Education and Reading from Nova Southeastern University. Currently, I am furthering my education at Florida State University to obtain my license as a Speech and Language Pathologist, an endeavor that reflects my passion for helping students reach their full potential.

I hold certifications in various areas, including:

Elementary Education (K-6)

At Bridgeprep South, I wear multiple hats. I serve as the Intermediate Math teacher for grades 6, 7, and 8, where I work diligently to instill a love for mathematics and foster critical thinking skills. Additionally, I proudly hold the position of ESE Specialist, where I ensure that all students, regardless of their unique needs, receive the support and resources they require to thrive academically.

My teaching journey has taken me across different states and types of schools, including New Jersey and private and charter schools in Florida. My diverse certification spectrum has allowed me to teach a wide range of subjects and grade levels, providing me with a rich and varied background that I bring to the classroom.

Originally hailing from New Jersey, I am proud to call Florida my home now. I am happily married to my supportive husband, who works as an administrator in a high school charter school. Together, we are raising three wonderful children, ages 12, 7, and 5, who keep our lives busy and full of joy. With a family of my own, I understand the unique challenges and joys that come with working children especially with a pre-teens, and I am committed to providing the best possible learning experience for your child.
